Press Manor Trout Lake is 5 1/2 acres set in stunning surroundings on the edge of the Peak District.

The trout accept small natural imitations and willingly take dry flys. Early and late season the buzzer hatches are prolific
The lake has good parking easy access with 4 boats.
It is also a Trout Master water

Lake open 7.30 am weekends and bank-holidays.Weekdays the lake will open 8.30 am until dusk.

Brown Trout
Blue Trout

Average Fish Size 1 3/4 lbs

Best Rainbow Caught
Jim Bray 12.2 lbs

Best Brown Caught
Brian Kirkman 6 1/2 lbs

Day Tickets

3 Rainbow day ticket – £18.50 (Then catch and release)

Catch and release ticket – £10.50

Evening Ticket Prices (start times vary however this will give approximately 5 hours fishing)

Evening catch and release ticket £8.50

Evening 2 rainbow ticket £14.50



Flys for sale

There is an excellent selection of English tied flys for sale at the fishery that reflect the hatches and patterns for the time of year.

A limited amount of equipment is also available for hire to visiting anglers. Please phone for details.

Day rate in addition to normal fishing tariff –
Day rate £8.50 Half Day rate £6.00

Concessionary terms available for disabled, over 65's and under 16's

Float tubing permitted on the lake. Launch fee £1.50

Casting instruction available from Bernie Maher ,England International and member of 'The Association of Advanced Professional Game Angling Instructors' (AAPGAI) and American Federation of Flyfishers (FFF).
